SMED approach
Come and learn the guiding principles of SMED and be able to start a SMED initiative in your workplace.
Description of the course
It is well known that the main principles of Lean help to reduce the time to market and therefore the time to respond to a customer request. We are talking about reducing stocks, batch sizes and lead times in general. These are all different aspects that can be optimised via the SMED approach.
SMED stands for Single Minute Exchange of Die. This means that each batch change can be completed in less than ten minutes. The 5S approach helps to improve the working environment in terms of order, tidiness and cleanliness.
For online training, meeting invitations will be sent to you 48 hours in advance and will contain the web links to access the training. Make sure you have the necessary equipment to be able to hear and communicate with the trainer! The material will be sent to you as a link or PDF file to your email address.
