Storytelling: to make you an inspiring leader

Narrative communication is a powerful method to enrich your leadership tools.

Description of the course

Organisations are undergoing so much change that we are overwhelmed with information. We end up not hearing the messages that are sent to us. We want to cover our ears!

And for good reason. Words of order and grand declarations of principle don't always work. You have to find something else.

Have you thought about storytelling?

What did you say? Storytelling? Doesn't that word mean 'telling a story'?

Exactly! Also known as "narrative communication", storytelling consists of using the technique of oral narration to get a message across.

And it works! Why does it work? Because everyone loves to tell or listen to a good story: our emotions and imagination are powerfully mobilised. Think of the stories told around a campfire, the children's stories, the colourful anecdotes we share about a retiring employee.

The stories :

  • Promotes an emotional connection;
  • Amplify memory and retention;
  • Activate our synapses and engage several areas of the brain;
  • Builds trust and commitment;
  • Create moments where people feel united around an idea.

Rely on the effectiveness of storytelling to manage, coach or inform!

For online training, meeting invitations will be sent to you 48 hours in advance and will contain the web links to access the training. Make sure you have the necessary equipment to be able to hear and communicate with the trainer! The material will be sent to you as a link or PDF file to your email address.
