Course Description

Following the introductory course, this training will help you refine your business intelligence skills.

The topics to be covered are as follows:

Mastering Power Query

We’ll explore more advanced concepts in Power Query, such as merging or splitting queries, using parameters, query hierarchies, and best practices for data structure

Mastery of relational models

You’ll learn about the benefits of a relational model and all the key concepts needed to fully understand it, such as the difference between a Fact and a Dimension, the use of primary and foreign keys, and much more.

Advanced DAX

You will explore the DAX language and its most useful functions, such as aggregation functions, the CALCULATE function, variables, and time intelligence concepts.

The aesthetic appeal and advanced interactivity of a dashboard

You can take your use of visuals even further by incorporating elements such as buttons, drill-downs, bookmarks, or even field settings.

Overall objective

Participants will be able to design a comprehensive, robust, and optimal dashboard solution in Power BI, regardless of their data source.
