Everyone has heard of ISO 9001, but who really understands it well? From its origins in 1987 to the current version, the concepts, principles and requirements of this standard have always helped organisations to improve their performance. But it's important to understand the requirements and subtleties of the standard.
Since the first publication of the ISO 9001 family of standards, the number of certified companies has continued to grow. More than 1 106 356 ISO 9001 certificates were valid as of 31 December 2016.
