Throughout the year, real teams in real organisations have carried out projects that have greatly improved the way they do business. At the most recent Best Business Practices Fair, 22 of these success stories were presented to participants.
Like many municipal administrations, the City of Québec deplored a significant gap between the supply of snow removal services and the expectations of the population. More than a third of citizens on its territory were dissatisfied with snow removal. Moreover, it was the main cause of dissatisfaction among the population. The city therefore set itself the goal of rectifying the situation and raising its service standards. Everyone was involved in the search for solutions... including the citizens. By establishing a dialogue with them through consultation activities and by encouraging a ferment of ideas and proposals, the City has developed a vision that is better adapted to the needs of taxpayers.
